Lisa Marie Presley Ex-Husbands: Marriage History, Divorces

Lisa Marie Presley had several romances in the public eye before her death. While her four Hollywood marriages didn’t work out, late singer Elvis Presley‘s beloved daughter walked down the aisle with some legendary men in Hollywood, including Danny Keough, Michael Jackson and more. Her mother, Priscilla Presley, announced her death on January 12, 2023, in a statement to People.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” the statement read. “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”

The “Lights Out” songstress tied the knot for the first time with Danny in 1998. Lisa Marie and the singer-songwriter welcomed their eldest daughter, Riley Keough, in May 1989, and their late son, Benjamin Keough, in October 1992, before calling it quits after six years of marriage.

In 1994, she went on to marry the “King of Pop.” Lisa Marie and Michael — who died in June 2009 — were together for less than two years before going their separate ways. The “You Ain’t Seen Nothin’ Yet” singer tied the knot with Nicolas Cage in 2002. They ended the marriage just three months later.

In 2006, Lisa Marie walked down the aisle with her fourth husband, Michael Lockwood. The pair became the loving parents of their twin daughters, Harper and Finley, in 2008, but split after a decade of marriage in 2016.

Lisa Marie opened up about why she seemed to be unlucky in the love department during a March 2003 interview with the Daily Mail and explained none of he ex-lovers could measure up to her father, a.k.a. the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

“That’s the problem with my love life,” she shared with the outlet. “I’m looking for someone similar to him, and nobody could ever compare. He was so extraordinary a presence — not even as an entertainer, just as a person. Yes, he sang well, and, yes, the songs were great, but that was him coming through the music. He was bigger than life — and he still is.”

While Lisa Marie was living the single life before her death, she remained a doting mom to her kids. Whether she was spotted out and about with her twin girls or spending quality time with her family, there’s no doubt the video producer made her children her No. 1 priority.

Tragically, Lisa Marie’s only son, Benjamin, died at age 27 in July 2020. The loving mom’s rep confirmed the heartbreaking news in an emotional statement at the time of Ben’s death.

“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her [twins] and her oldest daughter, Riley,” her rep, Roger Widynowski, told Us Weekly. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Benjamin died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. “The family is devastated,” an insider exclusively told Closer. “They’re all worried about Lisa now. The family is gathering together.”

Michael Jackson — 1994-1996

Lisa Marie and Michael tied the knot in 1994, the same year she divorced Danny. Although their marriage lasted for only two years before they went their separate ways in 1996, Lisa Marie said she was very much “in love” with the “Thriller” singer.

“I was in love with him at the time,” she told the Daily Mail. Plus, Lisa Marie never had to wonder about Michael being jealous of the fortune her father left her either because she knew he was making a great living for himself.
“I was still relatively young and trying to decide what would be better for me — being with someone who doesn’t have anything, and then they get trampled and have no ego because they just become ‘Mr. Presley’, or being with someone whose situation is comparable to mine,” she recalled. “I was hoping that we’d be more equal.”
Unfortunately, Michael’s lifestyle was a little too much for Lisa Marie to handle in their marriage and once she gave him an ultimatum, Michael made a choice that Lisa Marie never expected. “He had to make a decision. Was it the drugs and the vampires or me?” she previously recalled. “And he pushed me away.”

Nicolas Cage — 2002-2004

Lisa Marie and Nicolas had a whirlwind romance in Hollywood. After they got married in 2002, the Next star filed for divorce from Elvis’ daughter after spending only three months together. In 2004, they finalized their separation.

“I’m sad about this, but we shouldn’t have been married in the first place. It was a big mistake,” Lisa Marie said in a statement at the time. Nicolas shared his own statement and added, “I did not comment on the marriage, I am not going to comment on the divorce.”

Michael Lockwood — 2006-2016

After three failed marriages, Lisa Marie thought she finally found the man of her dreams when she met Michael. In 2006, she tied the knot with the music producer.

In 2008, the pair expanded Lisa Marie’s family when they welcomed twin daughters Finley and Harper. However, the twosome parted ways in 2016.

The “Over Me” songstress was doing her best to coparent their two daughters. “Lisa Marie’s custody battle wasn’t moving forward as quickly as she’d like,” an insider told Closer back in January 2020. Nearly a year later, their custody battle was settled with joint custody.
