Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Step Out for the First Time at the 2019 Met Gala as an Engaged Couple
When Jennifer Lopez walked onto the red carpet at the 2019 Met Gala with fiancé Alex Rodriguez, it was as if time stood still. We could barely take our eyes off of the couple as they stared lovingly into each other’s eyes and walked hand in hand.
For the outing, J. Lo, 49, stunned in a shimmering white gown and Alex, 43, opted to wear a black and white suit with a pink blazer. Since this is the first time the pair have been to the Met Gala as an engaged couple, they decided to really shine on the red carpet. After looking at their outfits, we have to say they didn’t disappoint!

Jennifer and Alex were practically made for each other and when the former New York Yankee recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he gushed to the host about how he proposed to the World of Dance judge.
“I planned it for about six months and it was on a beach in the Bahamas,” he explained. “I had the ring, but what was interesting is the three days prior to me going down on one knee and getting engaged was I rehearsed three days in a row. I wanted the sunset to be perfect.”
Alex didn’t want anything to go wrong during his proposal, so he asked an employees for a little bit of help to create the perfect moment. “Well, I had my assistant actually with me,” he laughed. “One time the sunset was at 6:27 [p.m.], the next day 6:29 [p.m.] and then the third day it was raining. So, I kind of came out at around 6:29 [p.m.] and it worked out well.”
Once A-Rod showed J. Lo her new engagement ring, he didn’t have to wait long until she said “yes.”
“Not yet, not yet, not yet. We’re not there yet,” she recently said on the Elvis Duran Show in regards to wedding planning. “We just got engaged, so … we’ve vaguely talked about, like, ‘Oh, when do you think?’ and things like that but nothing is set in stone, and we’re not there yet.”
