‘70s and ‘80s Icons Including Jaclyn Smith, Dyan Cannon and More Stun in Rare Appearance

A handful of iconic female actresses from the 1970s and 1980s got together for a mutual friend’s birthday party — and looked absolutely flawless!

Dyan Cannon, 89 — who was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in 1969’s Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice — shared a photo to Instagram on Thursday, July 23, featuring the ladies celebrating Patrick Foley, her “best friend of over 40 years,” for his birthday.

“I still have a smile on my face from all the love that was pouring out of everyone there,” she wrote in the caption.

The photo included Jaclyn Smith, 80 (known for her role as Kelly Garrett on the 1970s TV show Charlie’s Angels), actress Alana Stewart, 81 (who was previously married to singer Rod Stewart), and Donna Mills, 85 (known for playing Abby Cunningham on the 1980s soap opera Knots Landing).

“In the photo you see [friend] Gayle and Jaclyn Smith, Alana Stewart, Donna Mills, and so many others that were in attendance,” Cannon added in the caption. “AINT LOVE GRAND!!! Let’s celebrate each other every day… Isn’t that a good plan??”

The comments section was filled with praise for the ladies, with many people saying how fabulous everyone looked. “Ahhhh – the octogenarian club,” one person wrote. “Still lovely. Looking better than Madonna. Go on ladies. Show us how it’s done!!!! An inspiration.🙌🔥❤️.”

“You ladies are so inspiring to me. All of you still shining so brightly,” another wrote. “I mean wow. True 👑.”

Another Instagram photo posted by the birthday boy also included Susan Blakely, 77 (known for her leading role in the 1976 miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man), and Kathy Garver, 80 (who played Catherine “Cissy” Davis on the 1960s CBS sitcom Family Affair).

“There’s something so special about having incredible friends who show up not just for birthdays, but for life’s moments big and small,” Foley wrote in his post. “I don’t take your love, time, or presence for granted. Thank you for making this birthday one I’II always remember.”

In a separate post shared by Stewart, she said it was “so nice to catch up with @realjaclynsmith and @thedonnamills at @patrickseanf’s birthday party,” adding that the trio will be cohosting the upcoming Farrah Fawcett Foundation Tex-Mex Fiesta in Dallas, Texas, on September 24.

“This year is particularly special because it’s the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels as well as the iconic red bathing suit poster,” she added. “The funds raised will benefit @su2c, our scientific research partners, and Hope Lodge in Dallas.”
