A Rare Glimpse of Julia Roberts’ Family Shows Just How Much Time Has Passed
Julia Roberts was spotted in New York City with two of her three children with husband Danny Moder in a rare public outing.
Beloved movie star Julia Roberts was recently spotted out and about in New York City with two of her three children. It was impossible not to notice that one of Roberts’ sons now towers over her as part of the family was photographed together in a rare public outing.
The Pretty Woman star is mom to three kids with her husband, Danny Moder. Henry is 19, and the couple’s twins, Phinnaeus and Hazel, are 21. According to Page Six, Roberts was seen outside of the Jane Hotel in New York City with Hazel, Henry, and her hairstylist, Serge Normant.
As the media outlet noted, Henry has been studying at the Pratt Institute in Manhattan. The institution is considered one of the world’s top universities for art and design.
Moder and Roberts’ kids are all in college now. While Henry is studying in Manhattan, Hazel is a student at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland. Phinnaeus, who was not spotted in New York with his mom and siblings, is studying at the University of California, Berkeley. Moder was not seen on the visit to New York City, either.
Hazel and Phinnaeus celebrated their 21st birthday in November 2025. Henry just turned 19 on June 18. Moder and Roberts have been married since 2002, and while she continues to act, the family has lived a fairly quiet life away from the spotlight.
Neither Roberts nor Moder shares photos of their kids on social media very often. In May 2025, Moder made an exception for Mother’s Day.
On Instagram, Moder posted a photo showing Roberts with all three kids. In the caption, he wrote, “Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys.”
The last photo Roberts posted on Instagram that included any of her children was in November 2025 as she wished her twins a Happy Birthday. She included a photo, but it was one showing Hazel and Phinnaeus on their first birthdays.
In the caption of her birthday tribute, Roberts wrote, “These game changers, life alterers, expanders once were 1 and now are 21! That was fast. Happy Birthday my Dears.”
