Adam Levine Jokes He’s Looking and Feeling Better Since Turning 40: ‘I’m Benjamin Button-ing’

Like a glass of fine wine, Adam Levine is only getting better with age. Many celebrities in Hollywood dread the years as they slowly begin aging, but not the Maroon 5 frontman who just turned 40 years old on Monday, March 18. In honor of the milestone birthday, Adam recently dished that he’s feeling better than he ever thought he would turning the big 4-0.

“I feel like I’m Benjamin Button-ing,” the hunky singer revealed to People last month while on the set of The Voice, referencing the 2008 film where Brad Pitt‘s character ages backwards. “I feel younger and less mature, better-looking and just overall more youthful. Maybe I was born old!”

Adam’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, even agreed that her handsome husband is looking better than ever. “I definitely think the older he gets the more he’s been taking care of himself, working out and doing yoga. He’s so aware,” the 30-year-old gushed to the outlet from a different event earlier this month. “He also doesn’t drink much and is very much a workaholic. He works out, then he’s with family. He really is aging backwards and getting sexier with time!”

The “She Will Be Loved” singer’s life drastically changed when he and Behati tied the knot in 2014. A few short years later, Adam traded in the rockstar lifestyle for diapers, sweatpants and no sleep after the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Dusty Rose Levine, in 2016. Their second child, daughter Gio Grace Levine, was born in 2018.

According to Behati, Adam’s transition into fatherhood couldn’t have been any easier. “He is an incredible dad and is very hands-on,” the Victoria’s Secret supermodel gushed. “He’s so dedicated and excited. It’s amazing to see him really taking the role and loving it, especially with two girls.”

It seems like the “Girls Like You” crooner celebrated his birthday in style considering Page Six reported that he flew his closest friends to actor Mike Meldman’s private island estate following his epic Super Bowl halftime show performance in early February. Adam and his supposed star-studded guests — including Behati, his Maroon 5 bandmates, actor Ray Romano and more — were said to have celebrated the night away with dinner on the beach. Adam finished his birthday off in lavish style as Sublime performed some of their hit songs before closing the night out with fireworks.
