Quite the powerful married couple almost formed in the 1960s, as Angie Dickinson says she came very close to tying the knot with icon Frank Sinatra.

In an interview for CBS Sunday Morning set to air on Sunday, February 24, the 87-year-old actress reveals that she and the hitmaker almost took the plunge after working side-by-side in the 1960 film Ocean’s 11. “We got very close to getting married in 1964,” Angie said, adding that the singer wasn’t exactly all about settling down.

“And I said, ‘Well, I don’t blame you. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody,’” Angie recalled telling the “My Way” singer. “And I actually didn’t want to marry him. So I didn’t want him to ask me to marry him. Because I didn’t want to say no to Frank Sinatra.”

The Dressed to Kill star would go on to instead walk down the aisle with composer Burt Bacharach in 1965. The pair split in 1981, but they had a daughter, Lea Nikki, who unfortunately passed in 2007. Angie did tell the network some strong words about her ex-husband. “He never loved me, I can tell you that right now – the way one loves,” she said. “He loved in his own way, which is not too good. And, so, he had no respect for me.”

Although Angie does say that she liked her ex “a lot.”

While Frank didn’t go on to say I do to Angie, the legend was married four times in his life. He was married to Nancy Barbato from 1939 to 1951, and then followed that up with a six-year marriage to actress Ava Garner. The Oscar-winner also tied the knot with Mia Farrow in 1996, but they parted ways in 1968.

Frank’s longest marriage was to model Barbara Sinatra, who he was with until he tragically passed of a heart attack in 1998 at the age of 82. The singer’s fourth wife also died in 2007. She was 90-years-old.
