How Many Times Has Justin Hartley Been Married?

Justin has been married three times. The This Is Us star was married to his first wife, Lindsay Hartley, from 2004 to 2012. They welcomed their daughter, Isabella Justice Hartley, in 2004.

Though they are no longer together, Justin and Lindsay continue to coparent their daughter and are very supportive of all of her endeavors.

“Communication [is key],” Justin told Us Weekly of coparenting with his ex-wife in September 2019. “It’s nothing new. Communication and an understanding of where everyone’s coming from and realizing that it’s hard. As much as you try to put yourself in other people’s shoes, you’re never fully going to be able to do it, but you should just make the effort.”

“My daughter’s very self-sufficient and very smart,” he added. “She’s very resourceful, so I’m thankful that that’s the case [and] I get a lot of help from my ex-wife. … I get a lot of help from my daughter. I mean, she’s the one that’s making it all go around. She deserves all the credit.”

Justin married his second wife, Chrishell Stause, in 2017. He filed for divorce from the Selling Sunset star in November 2019. Chrishell, who wed singer G Flip in 2023, seemingly reflected on her split from Justin and lessons learned in a September 2023 interview with People.

“Personally, I think that you should always keep some independence in a relationship because … you never know,” she said. “So as someone that speaks from experience, I say, always keep some independence. But when it comes to down the line and raising children, I’m sure that conversation will change.”

Justin married his third wife, Sofia, in a secret ceremony in 2021, a few months after they made their relationship Instagram official.

They confirmed their marriage in a rare joint interview in October 2021.

“We just got married,” Sofia told HollywoodLife at the time. “We’re enjoying being together and being able to go on vacation. It‘s hilarious. Technically our first date was a year after we were together because that was when the world opened up.”

“You always have these ideas as a little girl about what marriage is, and then you meet the love of your life and all those ideas sort of go by the wayside,” she said. “I was just saying to him, ’24/7 during the pandemic, no 9 to 5, no getting to set where you could chill with the girls.’ It was just him and I all the time and you really get to see the person.”

Yes, Justin and Sofia are still together. He revealed details about their private nuptials during an October 2024 interview with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

“We were like, ‘We should do this. We should get married! We love each other. This is gonna be amazing,'” Justin said of the decision to marry Sofia amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “Then within a week, we were able to coordinate this, I guess, lawyer to come over and said, ‘Do you do this?'”

“And we were like, ‘Yeah, we love it.’ And we’re married,” he said. “It was the best wedding in the world, because we got right back in the pool. We were like, ‘Margaritas!'”

He said the wedding was “really small, but it was nice.”

“I wanted to see her in a wedding dress, and she wanted to do it … we had to go through it. It was amazing, was wonderful,” the Smallville alum said.
