Forty-three years after their version of A Star Is Born was released into theaters in 1976, Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson have reunited! The Academy Award-winning actress took to Twitter to share a sweet pic with her former costar, 82, on Wednesday, April 3.

“It was so wonderful to see my friend Kris who stopped by yesterday. Stay tuned…” the 76-year-old cryptically wrote in a Tweet alongside a snap of the two smiling. Although Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have been in the headlines for their impressive performances in the 2018 version of A Star Is Born, fans of the previous iteration couldn’t help but wonder what she was teasing. Take a look at the heartwarming pic Barbra shared below!

“OMG WHAT DO YOU MEAN STAY TUNED,” one fan eagerly wrote in reply to the blonde beauty. “Love your A Star is Born so much I can’t even bring myself to go watch the new movie. No matter what anyone tells me, there will never be anything better.”

The original film of A Star Is Born first premiered in 1937 and starred actors Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. The iconic movie was later remade into a musical in 1954 starring Judy Garland and James Mason. Next came Barbra and Kris’ version which was, of course, followed by the one directed by Bradley and starring Lady Gaga.

Like Barbra — who won the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Evergreen” — Lady Gaga followed in her footsteps as she also took home the award in the same category for “Shallow” at the 2019 Oscars.

When the “Bad Romance” songstress was cast for the lead role, we can’t imagine how intimidating it was knowing she was about to play the same character as a 10-time Grammy winner. Luckily for Gaga, Barbra only had words of support. “I haven’t seen it completed. Bradley did show me the opening,” Barbra dished to The New York Times this past October. “I loved how he used the drag bar. I thought that was new and interesting. What I’ve seen of the film I really liked.” At least Gaga got her predecessor’s seal of approval!
