Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor Have Reportedly Called off Their $200 Million Divorce

Just more than one year after Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor announced their separation after 17 years of marriage, the longtime Hollywood couple has reportedly called off their $200 million divorce, according to Star magazine. 

On July 30, the pair was photographed together for the first time since their May 2017 split and Ben, 52, and Christine, 47, were all smiles as they stepped out in NYC after reportedly enjoying a two-hour dinner date.

“Judging by how cozy they looked, you would never guess that they were exes,” an onlooker told Star. “Ben and Christine insist that they’re staying friendly for the sake of their kids [Ella, 16, and Quinlin, 13], but it hasn’t gone unnoticed that they’re still acting like a couple.”

Sources told the magazine that Ben has been “lonely and miserable” since his breakup with Christine. “They had their problems, but Ben knows he’s never going to meet someone like her again,” an insider explained. “He’s started to wonder if he didn’t put enough work into the relationship, and he’s been kicking himself that he let her go.”

Friends of the couple are allegedly now hoping they’ll get back together, especially since Ben and Christine have yet to file official court papers to make their divorce final. “It’s telling that neither of them is moving forward with the divorce right now,” a pal shared. “There’s still a lot of love between them, and it’s clear the spark never went away. They’re just taking each day as it comes.”

Ben and Christine — who have co-starred in five movies together — previously confirmed their separation with a joint statement to USA Today. “With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate. Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time,” the couple said at the time. 

Just days after their split announcement, a source told People that Ben and Christine’s busy lives may have led to their divorce. “It gets hard — he has a very busy Hollywood career, and she’s been very focused on being a mom. They are a very loving family. [Christine] and Ben respect each other and will do anything to make sure their kids are happy,” the insider explained. 

In a previous interview with Parade magazine, Ben gushed about meeting his future-wife, Christine, for the first time back in the late 1990s. “We just started hanging out with each other and it developed into, ‘Wow, this feels great. I really like this person. I think I love this person. I really do — I love this person.’ It hit me out of the blue,” he said.
