Congratulations! Benedict Cumberbatch And Sophie Hunter Expecting Baby No. 3

Another baby is on the way for Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife, Sophie Hunter. The couple attended the 2018 Emmys on Monday, Sept. 17, and the brunette beauty showed off her growing bump in a vibrant yellow gown.

While the couple didn’t speak out about the fact that they’re expecting their third child, her little belly did all the talking! Benedict, 42, and Sophie, 40, are already parents to two children, sons Christopher, 3, and son Hal, 1. They previoulsy tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2015 after meeting in 2009.

In a previous interview, Benedict opened up about how parenthood has positively impacted his career. “Lots of people, especially women, get told, ‘Oh parenthood is really going to affect your career’ — and it does, but for the better I think,” he once shared with Metro. “I know I’m in a very privileged position in my career but I think everyone, even if they’re in a challenging time in their life, draws strength from their children. They are your inspiration. It adds to your work, it never takes away.”

He also added that he wants to focus on more family-friendly films so his boys can enjoy them! “I want them to know what I do for a living and I can’t always because if the certification of my films.’We’ll all be a lot older by the time they get to see them, but yes, I would definitely like to do some child-friendly work in the future,” Benedict added. “I’ve done a bit but there might be a little bit more now.”

Benedict was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his work on Patrick Melrose, and while he didn’t win tonight, he was grateful for the nomination. “I was in a car going home from East London where we’re doing some filming for a show about Brexit, and my phone just blew,” he shared in July with the LA Times after the nominations came out. “I thought, ‘Whoa, what’s going on here, is there a malfunction?’ But then I saw, ‘Congratulations, huge love,’ and what not, and that’s how I found out. It was quite lovely.” We can’t wait to meet baby number three in a few months!
