Bo Derek Gushes About Having Date Nights Around the World With John Corbett: ‘We Travel A Lot!’

Not exactly dinner and a movie. Bo Derek revealed that her date nights with partner John Corbett aren’t exactly what the average dates are — they are much, much bigger.

“My gosh, we don’t have typical,” the 62-year-old told Us Weekly at the Sharkwater Extinction premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 31, of her and John’s, 57, dating life. She continued, “We’re always traveling, so our date nights are usually where we meet up in someplace else. Home is home. That’s our sanctuary. But we travel a lot.”

In fact, the pair are just coming off quite the romantic trip. “I just got back from London,” the 10 star revealed. “He’s working on a movie there. It’s like every night’s a date night when you’re on vacation and in a foreign city, and London was beautiful.” And while the couple has done plenty of traveling, the actress can’t exactly choose a favorite destination. “Some are better than others, that’s for sure,” she said. “But London was beautiful. One night we went and saw Hamilton — in London of all places! I never made it to [the show in] New York.”

There’s more traveling to do too for the wanderlusts, as Bo told the outlet, “I’m going to Misool on a dive trip. I’m doing an open-water swim in September in Greece.” The former model began dating the My Big Fat Greek Wedding star in 2002, four years after her husband, John Derek, passed away.

While the pair enjoy seeing all parts of the world, they did once exclusively reveal to Closer Weekly that their number one spot will always be their house. “We both travel so much, so, for us, our favorite vacation place is home,” Bo said at the An Evening With WildAid gala in Beverly Hills. “That’s where the romance is.”

The Sex and the City alum added at the time, “We enjoy each other’s company; we make each other laugh. After 15 years we still hold hands; we still have barbecues with friends a couple times a week … We just enjoy each other. I’m sad when she’s not around.”
