Bobby Brown Handling Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Death Better Than Expected

UPDATE: Bobby Brown has since released a statement via his lawyer. “Krissy fought to get well for months, however she has succumb to her injuries. Krissy is an angel. I am completely numb at this time. My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable. We thank everyone for the prayers for Krissy and our family as we mourn my baby girl.”

Twenty-two year old Bobbi Kristina Brown sadly died yesterday, July 26, nearly six months after being found unconscious in a bathtub.

And while her father, Bobby Brown, is understandably devastated over losing his daughter, he also feels at peace with her passing.

"He is holding it together more than you'd expect. He knew it was coming," a source told People. "He knows that Krissy is in a better place now."

The 46-year-old feels added comforted by the fact that his daughter is now reunited with her mother, Whitney Houston, who in 2011, was also found unconscious in a bathtub.

"There will be no more sadness or pain. She is at peace," the source continued.

Police arrived at Bobbi Kristina's home in Roswell, Ga. on Jan. 31 after her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, 25, called for help after an accidental "drowning," according to TMZ. After police investigation, the incident has been classified as a possible suicide, although BK's family believes Nick "played a hand" in her death.

"She is finally at peace in the arms of God," the Houston family said in statement to Entertainment Tonight. "We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months."
