Sisters-in-Law Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie Have a ‘Genuine’ Friendship (Report)

Girls night! Sisters-in-law Cameron Diaz and Nicole Richie were spotted having a night out on the town as they recently enjoyed a dinner at Eataly in Los Angeles without their husbands, Benji Madden and Joel Madden, respectively.

“Despite their hectic schedules, Cameron and Nicole still manage to find the time to enjoy girls’ nights out,” a source recently revealed to Life & Style, while an eyewitness said, “You can tell their friendship is genuine and not just for show as they were talking about how they’d missed their weekly get-togethers!” Aww!

Cameron, 46, isn’t just one of Nicole’s best friends but she’s also a caring and loving aunt to the socialite, 37, and Good Charlotte rocker’s two kids, Harlow, 11, and Sparrow, 9. “Cameron adores Nicole’s kids and loves spending time with them. She treats them as her own!” the insider gushed of the Charlie’s Angels alum.

While on their sisters-in-law dinner date, the aforementioned eyewitness revealed that the two ladies were apparently discussing some big vacation plans for the famous foursome and their families. “Nicole and Cameron were excitedly planning a family beach vacation for this coming summer and discussed all kinds of glamorous destinations, including Hawaii, The Bahamas and Mexico.” Lucky!

Since Cameron recently announced her retirement from acting, the blonde beauty has kept a low profile. Every now and then, though, she is spotted out and about. The two ladies were most recently seen together in late October 2018 when their 39-year-old identical twin husbands were out of town for a gig. Cameron and Nicole kept it casual as they stepped out for sushi in Studio City, California.

Lovebirds Nicole and Joel met at a party and ended up dating after she tricked him into asking her out. “I was 25 when I met him, and he said, ‘Have you ever watched The Wire?’ and so I lied and said that I did so that he would hang out with me … he literally dropped me in Season 3, and I pretended to know everything and it was horrible and then I hated the show,” Nicole once revealed, according to Popsugar. The couple ended up staying together and ultimately got married in 2010.

A few years later, Nicole introduced Cameron to Benji and the couple dated and then tied the knot in 2015. Just imagine, we would never have Cameron and Nicole outings if The Simple Life star never told Benji that little white lie!
