Benji Madden Gushes Wife Cameron Diaz Is His “Best Friend” In Sweet Instagram Post On Her 46th Birthday

They’re so cute! Benji Madden took to Instagram on Thursday, Aug. 30 to wish his wife, Cameron Diaz, a happy 46th birthday and adorably gushed the actress is his “best friend” in the post. 

“Happy Birthday, baby. There’s so much to write, so many things that make me so proud of you and how special you are. Thank you for being the best friend and partner to me and taking this journey of marriage,” Benji, 39, captioned a cute pic of the two. “The way you live your life everyday, and your compassion for the world shines [through] in your eyes and you inspire me to want to be the best man I can be in this lifetime. You’re the realest. I’m so grateful to be yours always and forever, and to call you my one and only true love.”

Cameron and Benji — who tied the knot in January 2015 — are usually super private, but the rocker’s birthday shoutout to his wife actually wasn’t the first time the couple has spoken about each other on social media. In summer 2016, Cameron gushed about Benji after his band, Good Charlotte, released their first album in six years, Youth Authority.

“One of my favorite things about being married is how much pride I take in my husband, @BenjaminMadden. He makes me proud everyday,” the Bad Teacher star wrote. “One day it might be how generous and giving, another how gentle and thoughtful. Or when he is fiercely protective of the people he loves and cares about… And every single day I am so incredibly proud of his integrity as a human being.”

“But today what I’m most proud of is his talent… his gift… today his band @GoodCharlotteBand released their first album in six years #YouthAuthority,” she continued. “I wish that everyone could write music to express their pain… their fears… their hopes and dreams. Baby, you amaze me… CONGRATS!!”

During a July 2016 interview with Newsweek, Benji additionally said he’s “extremely proud” of Cameron. “I’m extremely proud of what she uses her platform for. She just released The Longevity Book, and before that she had The Body Book [a lifestyle guide to diet and health], and she spent thousands of dollars doing all the research, to get information to share with women who don’t necessarily have the resources to get that information. She’s a modern day feminist — she wants to change the conversation that’s being had about women and aging,” he said. Aren’t Cameron and Benji just the more adorable Hollywood couple?!
