Sometimes starting a new job can be scary, but not for Carrie Ann Inaba! The TV personality has cultivated an impressive resume over her years in Hollywood and her newest job is co-hosting The Talk. After finishing up her first week on the hit daytime program, the Dancing With The Stars judge gushed in a Monday, Jan. 7 interview that she’s really loving her latest gig.

“The conversations we have at the table are so real and so rich with information and different thoughts and points of view,” Carrie Ann, 51, told NewsChannel 5 during a sit-down chat alongside her co-host and The Talk‘s creator Sara Gilbert. “I’ve really enjoyed that. It’s good to have a good conversation and we need to learn how to talk to each other more.”

Carrie Ann even admitted that her co-hosts have made her transition onto the table very easy. “I love talking to these women because I learn a lot from them and there are so many different opinions,” the Austin Powers actress gushed. “They’re strong — I love that.”

Sara, 43, was also pleased with her new co-worker’s performance. “Carrie Ann is authentic and brings so much of her life to the table,” The Connors actress dished. Sara even admitted that Carrie Ann fits right in with co-hosts Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, and Eve. “She feels like our girlfriend which is essential to the show — that’s really what the show is about. There’s something about our group when we’re down to four people, its okay, but when the right fifth person comes, it just clicks. Like this is the group, this is the group of friends. And that’s how we feel about Carrie Ann.” So sweet!

When the news came out on Thursday, Dec. 6 that Carrie Ann was set to replace Julie Chen on the CBS daytime talk show, DWTS fans began to worry that the brunette beauty wouldn’t be returning as a judge — especially after the show announced it wouldn’t be returning until Fall 2019. However, the Hawaii native dished on how she plans to juggle the two shows when the time comes.

“Well, what’s great is DWTS isn’t coming back with a spring series, so we’re coming back in the fall. And for DWTS, I only go in in the afternoon of the show day because I just judge, I don’t have to prepare. I can just walk in with my makeup from The Talk and just continue my day,” Carrie revealed as she and Sara giggled about the great convenience.

We’re so happy that Carrie Ann crushed her first week at The Talk and look forward to hearing more about her new hosting gig!
