‘All My Children’ Star Drops Major Clue He’s Joining the Cast of ‘Beyond the Gates’
Colin Egglesfield may be joining CBS soap Beyond the Gates. The All My Children star hinted at a mystery project, with co-stars following him on social media fueling fan speculation.
Fans of All My Children believe former fan-favorite Colin Egglesfield may once again be heading to the world of soaps, this time heading to the CBS daytime drama Beyond the Gates.
Egglesfield took to Instagram this afternoon to post from a dressing room for a new project. “Can’t say what I’m working on but you’ll find out soon-ish!” the actor shared.
He then asked fans what show they’d like to see him on, with many sharing they’d love to see him back in Daytime.
This led to fans in the comment section, such as JLJ Media’s Candice Mack, to share, “Hmmm, looks like the #BeyondTheGates dressing room.”
No official confirmation has been made as to whether Egglesfield has joined the series, but as fans anxiously await confirmation, they have begun theorizing as to who the actor may be sharing scenes with, as many hope that his character will be related to Daytime Emmy winner Mike Manning‘s character, Bradley ‘Smitty’ Smith.
Egglesfield appeared on the ABC soap opera from 2005 to 2009 as the controversial character Josh Madden, taking over the role from Scott Kinworthy.
Josh Madden was the ‘unaborted’ child of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) and Dr. Jeff Martin (John James).
Since leaving All My Children, Egglesfield has maintained active employment in various series, including Rizzoli & Isles, Melrose Place, and Lucifer, and has appeared in numerous films, including A Rose for Her Grave: The Randy Roth Story, A Holiday Hideout, and Duchess.
Beyond the Gates airs weekdays on CBS and streams weeknights on Paramount+. Viewers can catch up on all the drama from the beginning on Beyond the Gates on Paramount+, a dedicated FAST channel on PlutoTV, or on Tubi.
