Courteney Cox Joins Instagram — See Her First Posts!
Actress Courteney Cox is the latest star to join Instagram and we couldn’t be more excited! The 54-year-old star created the @courteneycoxofficial account (follow her!) on Tuesday, January 29 after having a mini Friends reunion with Lisa Kudrow on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and later shared the cutest first photo and Boomerang video ever on her page.

“So let’s talk about Instagram. You are not on Instagram but now you want to join,” host Ellen DeGeneres told Courteney during their sit-down, to which she replied, “I think it’s time that I join [but] I’m scared of it.” When Ellen, 61, then asked, “Why now?” Courteney explained that she would use the photo-sharing site to promote her new Facebook Watch series 9 Months.

“Well, because, first of all, I want people to watch the show. I really do, it’s so incredible … I [just] don’t understand the way things work,” she said. Ellen then chimed in to say, “Because I have 65 million followers, [I can help].”
The daytime host then revealed a recreated Central Perk set from Friends and suggested the two ladies take Courteney’s first Instagram photo while sitting on the coffee house’s iconic orange velvet couch. “I wish Lisa Kudrow was here because that would be fun,” Ellen said before Lisa, 55, suddenly appeared onstage.

“You’re here! This is a shock,” Courteney exclaimed as her pal joined them on the Central Perk set. “This is a good first shot,” Ellen said to which Courteney replied, “This is my first Instagram post? It’s all downhill from here.”
The Scream star later returned to Instagram to post a cute Boomerang video of herself and Lisa outside of The Ellen Show‘s Los Angeles studios and promoted her appearance on the daytime program by posting her first Instagram Story. You’re already a pro at this, Courteney!
