‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Louis van Amstel Is Married — Get the Details on His Winter Wedding!

Louis van Amstel is married!

The Dancing With the Stars pro wed his longtime boyfriend, Joshua Lancaster, on Sunday, Jan. 8 in Sundance, UT he confirmed to People.

Fans had an idea the happy couple would soon exchange vows after Louis shared a cutie selfie of the two getting their marriage license days prior. "Woohoo!!! We got our marriage license today… 5 days until the wedding," he captioned the cute pic on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Louis, 44, and Joshua, 27, previously met in 2009 at an LA bar while Louis was on DWTS, and have been together ever since.

“We wanted a winter wedding,” Louis said about the chilly weekend nuptials. "Sundance happens to be one of the private, romantic traditions between the two of us, so it seems only fitting to host the wedding there," Joshua added.

Louis took to Instagram shortly before the wedding to share a funny photo of himself and Joshua at the site of their ceremony, which was covered in inches of snow!

"This is the lawn where we are getting married. We have a lot of work to do. Clearing all that snow in two days…haha! ❄️?" he wrote at the time.

The special event featured guests including Louis' Season 9 partner Sharon Osbourne and Season 15 partner Sabrina Bryan as well as many of his fellow dancing pros. Dawson’s Creek actress Mary-Margaret Humes served as his best man.

“We had a whole group of wedding party in mumus and Uggs on Sunday morning to stamp down the snow,” Louis said of the outdoor 137 person gathering. “We wanted it to be an experience, not just a decorated room.”

“We wanted to be surrounded by good friends,” he concluded. “I guess it’s the European in me, but I didn’t want anything fake. That’s why Josh and I works so well. He’s completely real.”
