How did we not know this?!

Why don’t they want to be on the show, you ask? Lots of different reasons!

Some celebs claim they’re “embarrassed” to be on the program. Others’ calendars are far too busy to accommodate the long-running series’ grueling rehearsal and taping schedule. And a few stars, frankly, just aren’t interested in ever being on the reality show.

“I’ve been asked a few times, but my response to that is that I am an actor, not a dancer,” former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Tiffani Thiessen once said of being asked to join Dancing With the Stars. “I think I would rather be one of those [shows when I’m] 50 and above and going back to get into shape. They can ask me then.”

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay similarly once turned down the opportunity because he didn’t want to “be known as that guy on Dancing with the Stars.” Kind of harsh, no?
