Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Share How They Balance Their Marriage While Having the Same Career

Not only are Faith Hill and Tim McGraw husband and wife, the couple — who recently celebrated 21 years of marriage — have the same exact career. “It’s such a rare thing to be able to experience what we do for a living, and to do it together, really feels like all the moments are special,” Tim told People in a new interview. Faith added, “I watch him perform and still to this day I’m awed by it.”

So, how do they manage their marriage and working together all the time without getting entirely sick of each other? Even though Tim said he could “listen to Faith sing all night,” they make alone time a big priority. “We both have our daily routines and we have our own dressing rooms. We each have our own space to retreat to so we do get time to ourselves,” Faith shared of their system.

However, they do value the time they spend together. “Funny, as we get older it’s less about the big gestures and more about just spending the time together at home,” Faith confessed. They always carve out that special time when performing as well. “Tim and I share a quick quiet moment together before hitting the stage.”

Things haven’t always been easy for the duo though. A source once exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly that the pair — who share three daughters together, Gracie, 21, Maggie, 19, and Audrey, 16 — almost didn’t last. “Faith fully believes it’s her job to look out for Tim,” the insider said. “There was a real possibility they weren’t going to make it.”

But now, they’re doing better than ever. Late last year they announced their first album together and the two are currently on their Soul2Soul tour. Here’s to 21 more years of happiness for the couple!
