Sixty years after debuting as Tabitha Stephens on Bewitched, Erin Murphy is celebrating her 62nd birthday. The former child star took to social media to joke about feeling old, and fans showered her with love.
On June 17, Murphy posted a pair of photos on Instagram. One was a recent snapshot, and the other was a black-and-white photo from her early days on Bewitched. She posed with Elizabeth Montgomery, who played her mother, Samantha Stephens, on the show.
In the caption, Murphy wrote, “Want to feel old? Little Tabitha from Bewitched (Me!) is 62 years old today.”
The comment section of Murphy’s post was quickly filled with birthday wishes from fans.
“Aw happy birthday Erin such a beautiful child who grew up into a beautiful lady. Have a great day with lots of love and blessings,” commented one fan.
Another joked, “Erin. You have to be a vampire cause I swear you never age. Happy birthday.”
Someone else added, “Happy Birthday! You are not old at all. Great photo, BEAUTIFUL.”
Murphy has been quite vocal about embracing aging. In October 2025, she posted a makeup-free selfie on Instagram and wrote, “This is 61…WITHOUT a facelift, without any makeup.”
Her post was a response to online buzz that “random people” had speculated she had gotten a facelift. Murphy wrote, “I suppose it’s a backhanded compliment that you think I look good ‘for my age.'”
She pointed out some of the scars she has received over the years and noted the smile lines visible around her eyes, “since I laugh more than I cry.”

Murphy began filming Bewitched just before her second birthday. She portrayed Tabitha in over 100 episodes, between 1966 and 1972. In the early days of the series, she shared the role with her fraternal twin sister, Diane Murphy.
After the initial series ended, a spinoff named Tabitha was launched. Murphy was replaced for that series, though, with Lisa Hartman taking over the role.
As Deadline shared in November 2025, there has been talk of a Bewitched reboot being developed by Fox and Sony TV.
In February, when Murphy was asked if she would be interested in participating in a Bewitched reboot, she seemed enthusiastic about the idea.
Murphy told New Idea, “If they asked me to appear on the show, absolutely I would! I’d love to be included in some way, and I know fans of the original Bewitched would enjoy that fun reference to the past,” Murphy shared.
She also reflected, “Bewitched was one of the happiest shows I’ve worked on.”
The former Bewitched star lived a mostly “normal life” after the show ended, eventually becoming a mom to six sons. Now, she noted, she was “back working in the biz,” and she seems eager to tackle new challenges in the entertainment industry.
