Could our dreams of The Nanny returning to the small screen be coming true?! In an exclusive interview, Fran Drescher opened up to Closer Weekly about being open to a reboot — and even dished on who she still keeps in touch with from the cast!

"I am in touch definitely. Renée Taylor is a good friend of mine, Charlie [Charles Shaughnessy] is a good friend of mine. Recently I reconnected with Nicholle Tom, and periodically I speak to everyone, but I'm very good friends with Charlie and Renée, for sure. As far as a reboot goes, I would be open to it if somebody wanted to do it — but if nobody wants to do it, then I'm currently trying to develop something else," she shared.

Closer Weekly spoke with Fran as she teamed up with Healthline to take part in their 'State of Cancer' event in NYC on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. "I'm very active online and I'm in the health space as an activist and advocate and founder and president of the Cancer Schmancer movement‚ CancerSchmancer.org. I'm very active on all pathways of social media and I think Healthline is a great compliment for my efforts," she stated.

"When they reached out to me, saying they thought it was a nice fit, I was extremely interested and excited — and by the way, honored — because it fortifies my positioning as someone that is constantly reaching out to people with new portals or points of view of how to deal with health across all pathways of social media."

The actress continued, "You get information, you learn things, and if it feels like, 'Okay, this is something I need to leverage my celebrity and my activism and start passing it forward' — it just is a good partnership and so I'm really excited to be the keynote speaker because, needless to say, I have a lot to say and I think that this is the new frontier and we always say at Cancer Schmancer, 'Each one teach one,' and this is the way to 'each one teach one' with millions all very, very quickly. You can shift a paradigm to a new point of view, a new slant, a new way of thinking — much quicker than you could even 10 years ago."
