Gavin Rossdale Reveals Best Advice He Has Given His Kids: ‘Make This World a Better Place’

With three young kids at home, Gavin Rossdale has a lot of great advice to give his three sons, Kingston, 12, Zuma, 10, and Apollo, 5. In a new interview, he revealed exactly what he tells them when they ask him for a little bit of life advice.

“To be whole, interesting and considerate human beings who make this world a better place. That’s it,” he told In Touch. “That’s all I tell them.” With Gavin as their dad and “Orange County Girl” singer Gwen Stefani as their mom, this adorable trio of brothers won’t have to look hard when they need some advice.

Even though Gavin, 53, and Gwen, 49, are no longer together, they still manage to have a great coparenting relationship for their kids. “You know, we both manage to feed them and get them to school on time, more or less!” Gavin joked. “They are doing really good. They’re really happy, and that’s it. We’re doing the best we can.”

Gavin could probably thank dad Douglas Rossdale and mom Barbara Stephan Bowie for showing him how to be a great family man whose there for his kids.

While recalling the best advice, he’s ever heard from his father, Gavin admits Douglas taught him to never say “no” to going to the restroom. “Never give up the chance to use the bathroom,” he joked, before getting very serious. “No! He was pretty low-key on advice. His whole thing would always be just let it be, and things will work out. Let it be, let the pieces fall.”

Aside from the trio of kids he shares with Gwen, Gavin is also a proud dad to a 30-year-old daughter, Daisy Lowe, from a former relationship with Pearl Lowe. As an incredibly successful fashion model, Daisy is proof that Gavin is always the best when it comes to parenting!
