‘General Hospital’ Fans Debate Who Was Really Behind the Pentonville Attack
‘General Hospital’ fans suspect Sidwell or Drew Cain framed Sonny Corinthos for the Pentonville prison attack on Curtis and Sidwell rather than Sonny being guilty.
General Hospital’s Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) have become the victims of a prison attack, with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) being the obvious suspect. In fact, with so many fingers pointed directly at Sonny, fans now think he couldn’t be the one behind the attack.
Last week, Sonny met with one of his old mob associates and asked him to pass a message to some inmates in Pentonville. After Curtis and Sidwell were attacked in their cell, the ringleader dropped Sonny’s name, saying Sonny Corinthos owed his old enemy Sidwell more than that. Like clockwork, Curtis reported those words back to the authorities, making Sonny the prime suspect.
However, GH fans have a few other suspects in mind. Some fans think Sidwell set up his own attack to try to frame Sonny.
“Just wait and see…Sidwell took the beating to frame Sonny. Remember Sonny telling him that he went straight when he visited him in prison…?” one fan suggested on X.
“So did Sonny actually send people to beat up Sidwell, or did he do it to himself?!?” another fan wondered.
Other fans think that Sidwell was in too serious a condition to have done that to himself and wonder if Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) might be behind the attack. After all, he has made it his main mission to bring Sonny down and has connections everywhere to make things happen. He even spent time as an inmate in Pentonville, where he was the victim of a prison beating.
“Either Sidwell set up Sonny or Drew did & Justine’s going to feel so dumb when it comes out that Sonny was being framed,” another fan said, referring to Sonny’s secret girlfriend, who no longer trusts him.
Another fan thinks that Drew was definitely behind the attack and killed two birds with one stone, getting revenge on both Sidwell and Sonny, writing, “My thought is that it was set up by Drew because Sidwell helped keep Drew locked in by providing the meds to Willow and it was payback, but he paid the guys to say that Sonny sent them. But that’s just my theory.”
