It's been five years since Giuliana Rancic welcomed her son, Edward Duke Rancic, into the world, but the TV star is still gushing about the day he was born. "It felt like my heart was going to explode with happiness and love," she confesses to Closer Weekly. "I held him tightly and thought to myself, savor this moment. Never forget this incredible moment. God is good."

Coming almost a year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer, it made Giuliana — who is now healthy and a spokesperson for Genentech's Not One Type cancer awareness campaign — realize "that even when you have a dark day, the sun will rise the next day." And Giuliana's family completely supports her in all of her endeavors.

While recently speaking with Closer Weekly, Giuliana's husband, Bill Rancic, opened up about how much he treasures his wife and son. "I think we have one rule, and that's family first. We don't compromise [that] and don't break the rule," he shared. "Family always comes first, and I always say kids still love T-I-M-E. That's what we really believe and Duke gets a lot of our time, we spend a lot with him, and that's certainly priority number one."

Now as a mom-of-one, Giuliana constantly adores the time that she gets to spend with her son but she also knows how to balance work and family. She admits that she has it down to a science! "When I'm with my son, I don't look at my phone. I'm very engaged. I give 100 percent to family when I'm with my family, but when I'm at work, I give 100 percent to work. I don't sit at my computer making a photo album of pictures, I'm focused," the fashionista tells Closer.

But even Giuliana knows that there are days when you can't control everything and stop the unexpected. She says to Closer, "If Duke has a fever or my family needs a lot from me on a particular day, I’ll still go to work, but make my family the focus of my day — or maybe I’ll need to stay home from work."
