Giuliana Rancic's departure from E! News may not have been so amicable after all.
According to a new report, the 40-year-old TV star had been intending to leave the entertainment news program "for some time" but ultimately made the move to quit when the network hired Maria Menounos.
“It’s the battle of the b-tches. They’re like oil and water. They cannot stand each other,” a source told Page Six of their feud.

“They’ve always been rivals. Maria sees Giuliana as competition and it goes back years. They never speak and they won’t appear on-set together. It’s kind of unspoken that if she is in the building, Giuliana wants nothing to do with her," the insider continued.

Giuliana revealed she is giving up her anchor role on E! News on Thursday, July 9 after more than a decade on the show. She will, however, remain a co-host of Fashion Police and will still conduct interviews for E!'s Live From the Red Carpet going forward.

Following Giuliana's departure, some reports stated the entertainment news program will be shortened to 30 minutes (instead of an hour) with Maria, 37, as the new host. It will also allegedly be changed to a more "live chat show."
However, the network refuted those claims with the following statement: "This is completely untrue and what you’re hearing is totally false. ‘E! News’ remains an hour news show that covers pop culture and entertainment.”
