After 13 years of marriage, Gwen Stefani is taking her divorce from Gavin Rossdale really hard.

“Of course Gwen is upset. She really gave it her all and tried to make it work as hard as she could for years. She was in love with him and they had the family she always dreamed of," a source close to the couple told Us Weekly.

Gwen, Gavin and their two eldest sons in June 2013.

Gwen, 45, and Gavin, 49, married in September 2002 and have three sons together, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 6, and Apollo, 17 months. Following the announcement of their split on Monday, Aug. 3, the duo are reportedly focusing on keeping their kids happy.

“[Gwen's] primary focus is making sure the kids are okay. They are trying not to fight around the kids and keep the kids’ world as undisturbed as possible. She is trying to make it as easy on them as she can," the insider told the entertainment news outlet.
