Gwyneth Paltrow And Brad Falchuk’s Wedding Reportedly Filled With ‘Super Awkward’ Speeches From Family

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Falchuk’s wedding weekend was full of awkward moments — just like any family wedding! 

The rehearsal dinner, which was held in a tent beside Jerry Seinfeld‘s East Hampton home, was filled with lengthy tributes to the couple and no shortage of glowing praise for the bride. “Everybody loves Gwyneth,” a wedding guest told In Touch. “Everybody had a speech and went on and on about how great Gwyneth is. The speeches were long — about two hours.”

Jerry welcomed the group of friends and family to his home with a speech that basically turned into a five-minute stand-up routine. “Everybody loved it. Dinner was a massive pig roast so he joked about how he had 10 dead pigs in his yard in what looked like open graves, and in his Jerry Seinfeld way, joked about the fact that he didn’t know most of the people there at his house,” the source says. 

But then someone made a speech about how Brad and Gwyneth first met when she sat on his lap on the set of Glee, though everyone knew that was when they both were in other relationships. “It was super awkward,” the source said, “and everyone looked around to make sure her kids weren’t there to hear it!”

It didn’t stop there. “Gwyneth’s uncle made the most awkward speech. He got up and said he never liked Chris Martin,” the source explained. “He went on about how they were terrible together, but then tried to recover by saying how much he loves their kids.”

The source added that Jerry tried to divert all the awkwardness with impromptu comedy bits and made a bunch of jokes about all the strangers in his house.
