Harrison Ford Was Wife Calista Flockhart’s ‘Biggest Cheerleader’ Amid Her Off-Broadway Production

Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart were photographed packing on the PDA in NYC in March, and a source exclusively tells Closer that they enjoyed a second honeymoon phase of their relationship while she performed in her Off-Broadway play over the past two months.

Calista, 60, starred alongside Christian Slater and Cooper Hoffman in a production of Curse of the Starving Class from February 25 through April 6 – and according to the source, Harrison, 82, was her “biggest cheerleader” the whole time.

The source dishes that the Indiana Jones actor had been telling everyone “how incredible” she was on stage and had been buying tickets for all their friends to come out and see her perform. He also traveled back and forth “between Manhattan and their ranch in Wyoming” so that he could “be there to support her as much as possible” throughout the show’s run.

During rehearsals, he “did the same thing,” and once the show opened, he made a “huge effort to be there” for her, “either in the audience or backstage.” The source says Harrison knew how much the role meant to her and how “demanding” production was, so he made an effort to pick up “all the slack at home,” which was “so appreciated by Calista.”

The pair – who began dating in 2002 and have been married since June 2010 – also had “a lot of fun exploring the city together” in their down time.

“Even when they’re just walking down the street, he can’t keep his hands off her, which is so sweet,” adds the source. “After everything they’ve been through with his health scares, they’ve realized how important it is to cherish every moment together. It’s clear to everyone how much they still adore each other.”

This comes after Harrison stepped down from presenting at the 97th Academy Awards this year because he’d been diagnosed with shingles. However, the Star Wars actor seems to have made a full recovery as he’s been seen out and about with his wife in NYC in recent weeks.

On March 31, they were spotted sharing a sweet kiss as they waited for their respective trains at a subway station. Harrison took the downtown 1 train and exited at 59th street, according to The Post, while Calista took an express downtown 2 so she could go to work on Curse of the Starving Class.

This is nothing new for the happy couple, as they haven’t shied away from publicly praising each other throughout their nearly 15-year marriage.

At the Feud: Capote vs. The Swans premiere in New York City in January 2024, the Ally McBeal alum gushed that Harrison “supports” her in “so many ways” in her life and career.

That same month, Harrison thanked his wife who “supports me when I need a lot of support” while being honored with a Career Achievement Award at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards.

“Their marriage is built on trust, loyalty, respect and openness,” a friend of the couple exclusively told Closer in July 2022. “He used to be very closed off, but she taught him the meaning of open communication.”
