Hugh Jackman Sang Against Doctor’s Orders in ‘The Greatest Showman’

It seems Hugh Jackman is quite the rule-breaker! The actor proved how dedicated he is to his acting career when he broke his surgeon's orders by deciding to sing in his latest film, The Greatest Showman.

Hugh has always been very vocal about his skin cancer, and after a recent surgery to remove it from his nose, the doctor really didn't want him to take the mic. "I had 80 stitches in my nose and my doctor said 'you’re not allowed to sing,'" the 49-year-old shared on Facebook.

But Hugh couldn't resist — and the video showed him singing "From Now On" with the cast (don't worry, this was just for fun, and he healed again before the filming the real thing). "Sorry (not sorry) to my surgeon,” he captioned the clip. “He told me not to sing. I did it anyway. And after… I ran back to get restitched. Worth it!" We'll be the judge of that when we see the film in theaters tomorrow!

Hugh has been treated for skin cancer a few times since his November 2013 diagnosis, and he has always communicated his condition with worried fans. Back in March, he assured fans he was doing "fine" after another one of his treatments. As a dad-of-two, he's also spoken out and given some helpful advice to others about protecting themselves from the sun.

"It’s a basal cell carcinoma, everything’s fine. It is skin cancer but the least dangerous form of it. So it’s just something I have to get out after being an Aussie with English parents, growing up in Australia, it’s sort of the new normal for me," he shared during his Live! appearance earlier this year.
