If your father happens to be one of the most famous rockers of all time, then you should expect to hear some incredible advice from time to time — and that’s exactly what Jon Bon Jovi‘s son, Jesse Bongiovi, has received growing up with the music legend.

“One of the best pieces of advice he’s ever given me was when we were creating [our wine] Hampton Water. He told me to take my time, to be patient and launch Hampton Water properly because once something is out in public, there’s no taking it back,” Jon’s oldest son, 24, exclusively tells Closer Weekly. “I apply that to all aspects of my life now especially when there’s an important decision to be made. Once it’s out, it’s out. It’s best to take your time to make sure it’s done exactly the way you want it because there’s no turning back.”

Earlier this year, the father/son team attended quite the swanky party in order to celebrate their new line of wine — a drink that is all about a “French rose, a mix of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes.” However, none of this would be possible without the help of the hitmaker and his work ethic.

“I think his fans probably know this, but my dad is an incredibly hard worker,” Jesse reveals. “He would often wake me up in the summer to let me know he just finished a 6 mile run. He works harder than anyone I’ve ever met, and I think it shows.”

Jesse isn’t the frontman‘s only child, as he also shares three more kids — Stephanie, 26, Jacob ,17, Romeo, 15 — with his wife, Dorothea Hurley, 56.

While the “You Give Love a Bad Name” singer has spent a lot of his adult years touring, he has of course spent as much time with his children as possible — Jesse even has a memory that sticks out in his head the most. “My favorite memory growing up is when me and my youngest brother Romeo would play my dad and middle brother Jacob in football. We never lost,” he recalled. What a dad!
