John Mellencamp Won’t Tell His Daughter Teddi His Wedding Plans: ‘They’re Very Private’

If you’re still wondering exactly when and where Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp will be tying the knot, don’t feel too bad, because the rocker’s own daughter, Teddi Mellecamp, has no idea either.

“You think that they’re involving me in the planning?” Teddi, 37 told Page Six when asked if she had any knowledge about her father’s wedding. She explained, “One, I’m on ‘Real Housewives.’ Two, I’m a loudmouth. Three, like they’ll probably tell me the day before, like ‘Show up’ and do not tell me why. They’re very private. Me, not very much.”

The pair are indeed very private, as they are rarely spotted in public together, but the actress, 57, was completely fine sharing the news with her fans that she is engaged to the rocker, 67. And once they say their I dos they will be blending two families — The hitmaker has five kids including Teddi, Michelle 48, Justice, 33, Hud, 24, and Speck, 23. As for the When Harry Met Sally star, she shares son Jack, 26, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid, and in 2006 she adopted Daisy, 14.

John’s second oldest daughter is already all about her future stepmom. “When you think of Meg Ryan, she’s like all those things you want her to be,” Teddi told the outlet. “She actually is that person … you know, I just think Meg’s an amazing person. She’s kind and she’s smart and she’s funny and she’s one of those people that when you’re talking to her, she really listens.”

Teddi was pretty happy upon hearing about her dad’s engagement with the actress. She recently exclusively told Closer Weekly. “I’m thrilled. They are such an amazing couple,” she said at the OK!/Star/In Touch/Life & Style Pre-Grammys Party on February 7. “They are both smart and funny. Their conversations are interesting and like watching a ping-pong match. They really bring out the best in each other — like all good couples do.”
