John Travolta is finally speaking out about a pending lawsuit filed against him by an alleged lover.

Douglas Gotterba, a former pilot at the actor's airline company Alto, told the National Enquirer he was "unwillingly thrust" into the limelight after John was accused of sexual battery and wants to set the record straight by telling his own story. The only problem: a supposed confidentiality agreement blocking his book.

"This is every celebrity’s Achilles heel," the Pulp Fiction star told The Daily Beast of the accusations. "It’s just about people wanting money. That’s all. It happens on many levels."

The 60-year-old added, "Also, I don’t care that much about [those types of allegations]. Other people may attack it back more than I do, but I let all the media stuff go a long time ago because I can’t control it. I think that’s why it persists, to some degree."

In the lawsuit, filed in 2012, Gotterba claims he's not barred from discussing his relationship with the former teen idol because the termination contract he signed in 1987 was simply a pre-draft and that the actual agreement did not contain a confidentiality clause.

Although rumors regarding the Hairspray actor's sexuality are nothing new, John admitted tabloid reports circulating around the time of his 16-year-old son's death in 2009 were particularly hurtful. Jett, who died after suffering a seizure, was said to be found by nanny Jeff Kathrein, another one of the Oscar nominee's alleged lovers.

"I found it most offensive with the loss of my son. I felt like that was the lowest I’d ever felt," he told the The Daily Beast.

"Sex stuff is always going to be interesting to somebody, but you stay away from family. You really should. With that, I always felt like the media — not all of the media, but parts of it — went too low there."
