John Travolta Talks New Role in O.J. Simpson Miniseries

Just after announcing he won't be reprising his role as Danny Zuko in 'Grease Live,' John Travolta is now speaking out about starring in the upcoming O.J. Simpson miniseries!

The actor, 60, will both produce and portray O.J. Simpson's defense attorney, Robert Shapiro, on 'American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson.'

"I took a long time to decide [if I wanted the part], but I read the first three scripts and then I asked very important people in my life what they thought… and they all agreed that this was a good thing to do and I decided to do it. I have my work cut out for me," he said.

The 10-part miniseries — which is set to air on FX later this year — is a true crime anthology created as a companion program to the popular show 'American Horror Story.' The first season will focus on the 1994 murder trial against former NFL player O.J. Simpson.

The former 'Grease' star will join Cuba Gooding Jr. (as O.J. Simpson), Sarah Paulson (as Marcia Clark, the head prosecutor in the O. J. Simpson case), and David Schwimmer (as Robert Kardashian, O. J. Simpson's friend and defense attorney) on the series.

John spoke to 'E! News.'
