Say it isn’t so! Julia Roberts made an appearance at the 2019 Golden Globes and admitted that she might not be appearing in movies anymore.

“I am done with movies. Here is the E! exclusive,” she jokingly told Ryan Seacrest on Sunday, Jan. 6. “I am done with film, yes.” OK, so it seems like the 56-year-old was just kidding around! Her show, Homecoming, is nominated for Best TV Drama, and it seems like the beauty couldn’t be happier that she switched over to television for the time being.

“It’s so wonderful to have TV expand in this just deep, rich way,” she admitted to E! News. “I mean, I have never enjoyed watching TV more, not that I really get a lot of time to watch TV, but when I do, it’s always just like completely mind-blowing.”

When the mother-of-three was pitched her hit show, she knew she couldn’t pass on this amazing opportunity. “I mean, I listened to the podcast and then when Sam Esmail called me about it — he is so brilliant and amazing and I just thought, absolutely, I didn’t hesitate,” she said.

Julia has been in the entertainment industry for a long time and has starred in some of the biggest blockbusters of all time like Pretty WomanMy Best Friend’s Wedding, and Erin Brockovich.

While those rom-coms are epic, the Lancôme ambassador has admitted that she shouldn’t star in them anymore. “Unless we [play] the parents of the people that are rom-com-ing,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight. “There came a point in my career where people thought I had turned on romantic comedies, which I love them, I love to be in them, I love to watch them. But sometimes, they just don’t work at a certain point of live experience.”

We hope that we can keep watching Julia for many more years to come!
