This can’t be real. Less than a week before the upcoming Season 25 premiere of Dancing With the Stars, it’s been revealed to Us Weekly that Julianne Hough won’t be returning to the popular dance competition this year.

“We are thrilled to have Len [Goodman], Bruno [Tonioli], and Carrie Ann [Inaba] back in the ballroom and look forward to welcoming guest judges wherever possible,” a DWTS rep told the news outlet. Julianne has yet to comment on why she decided to leave the ABC series after all these years.

Julianne appeared as a pro dancer on DWTS during seasons four through eight. She took home the Mirror Ball Trophy twice, once with Apolo Anton Ohno and once with Hélio Castroneves. She joined the show as a judge in September 2014.

This bombshell comes just two months after Julianne married her handsome hubby, NFL player Brooks Laich, in a romantic ceremony. She previously gushed about the big day. “Brooks and I kept eye contact the entire ceremony. We never stopped looking at each other,” she said. “I couldn’t stop crying all weekend and most people [thought] I would have cried during the entire ceremony, but instead I was just so excited and ready to celebrate!” Who knows, maybe they’re already trying for babies?

The 29-year-old previously opened up about her past and present roles on DWTS — and shared she loves judging the dancer and celeb pairs! “I want to hop over and do a little grooving, but I love to judge,” she told E News!. “I think it’s really fun, and to be able to be in that position where I have been a dancer, I want to be able to give some good criticism.”

And believe it or not, Julianne has said judging her older brother and pro dancer, Derek Hough, is an easy feat. “It’s funny, because everybody always asks, ‘Is it hard to judge your brother?'” Julianne said. “But I really, I’m judging him with his partner, not just him.” We’ll miss you, Julianne!
