Kate Hudson Sings ‘Shallow’ to ‘Gear up’ for Oscar Performance and Wows Everyone — Watch!

It seems like everyone is excited for the Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24, especially Kate Hudson, who filmed herself singing one of the most popular songs out there right now: “Shallow.”

The 39-year-old took to Instagram to share a video of herself singing while doing some Pilates, as the actress belts out the Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper mega-hit from the Oscar-nominated film A Star is Born, and let’s just say that the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star has some pipes.

“Gearing up for my in-living room Oscar performance,” Kate captioned the video, adding “apologies to @ladygaga and @iammarkronson for the lyrics,” after she fumbled the verses. But the Oscar-nominated actress impressed her fans as many of them rushed to praise her performance. “Ok. Wow. The Talent cup spillith [sic] over in your family. What a voice — and doing it upside down on a hard table no less, amazing,” one person said. Another added, “Your voice is amazing and this video is hilarious!”

Goldie Hawn‘s daughter is no stranger to singing as her most notable role was in Almost Famous, where she played Penny Lane and sung her heart out to “Tiny Dancer” in the film’s classic scene. And it’s no surprise that Kate has quite the singing voice as she comes from a very talented family. In fact, Goldie, 73, and her partner, Kurt Russell, recently sung on Instagram when they took on the Beatles song “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”

“Kurt and I just opened one of our favorite Christmas presents … I don’t think we’ll be taking this on the road,” the Overboard star captioned the sweet video. It’s clear that this famous family is all about singing tunes when the moment strikes, but we can all agree that Kate may have one-upped them all.
