Katie Holmes And Jamie Foxx Celebrate Her 40th Birthday With Fun NYC Outing

Katie Holmes celebrated the big 4-0 in a very special way! The actress, her boyfriend, Jamie Foxx, and her mother, Kathleen Stothers-Holmes, were spotted having a sweet treat at Serendipity 3 in NYC’s Upper East Side for her birthday on Tuesday, Dec. 18. Katie frequents the restaurant, famous for their desserts, with her 12-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise.

“Katie and Jamie looked happy. They both came in the same car together, with her mom,” a source told Us Weekly. “Her mom walked out with a cake box at the end. Jamie and Kathleen ordered their frozen hot chocolate, and Katie had a strawberry sundae.” The insider added that they “all seemed like they were having a great time.”

For her special night out, Katie donned a floor-length rainbow sweater with a gray shirt underneath and a pair of Gucci boots. Her mother looked stylish in a floor-length yellow coat, a blue tee, and a pair of black pants. Jamie looked dapper in a plaid coat, gray scarf, patterned pants, and white sneakers.

Katie and Jamie first sparked rumors they were dating in August 2013. It wasn’t until late last year and early this year that the couple started stepping out together more. Many think the dragged out private relationship had a lot to do with Katie’s divorce from ex-husband Tom Cruise.

In addition to NYC, the duo has often been spotted in New Orleans together. “Jamie’s completely head-over-heels in love with Katie and can’t bear to be apart from his girlfriend. Whenever he’s not working, he flies to New Orleans to be by her side and support her,” a source told In Touch Weekly. “Katie’s a huge fan of the city, but having Jamie there with her makes it feel like home and even more fun!” It’s so nice that Jamie and Katie get to share special moments in both NYC and New Orleans!
