Kelly Ripa Gets the Last Laugh as Michael Strahan Shakes Things up at ‘Good Morning America’

If there's one thing Kelly Ripa is doing, it's laughing!

This time last year, her Live! co-star Michael Strahan abruptly left their morning talk show to join Good Morning America, an incident that made headlines everywhere. And today, Michael is really getting on everyone's last nerve at GMA.

Turns out, Michael's ego has become a huge problem on the set of the series. "Kelly was portrayed as the diva when he left, but it was really Michael who went behind Kelly’s back," a source told Life & Style. "Now Kelly is telling producers on her show that she knew karma would get Michael. She knew it was only a matter of time before Michael caused problems elsewhere."

According to the insider, “[Michael] is demanding more camera time, and it is really upsetting everyone on the set."

Because of Michael's attitude, some of the show's most prominent faces including Robin Roberts and Lara Spencer want out. "Kelly has told friends she feels bad for Lara," says the source.

And even though Kelly hasn't found a permanent co-host to replace Michael just yet, she's definitely glad she's by herself and not alongside the former NY Giants football player anymore.

"Kelly really is having the last laugh,” notes the source. "She’s just happy she doesn’t have to deal with Michael anymore."
