Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick Still Like to Cut Footloose Today, Just Not in Public!

After nearly 30 years of marriage, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick reveal they still like to cut footloose in an interview with Closer Weekly. "We love to dance, and if we have our own party behind closed doors, we will dance all night," Kevin told Closer at a recent SAG-AFTRA Foundation Q&A with Kyra in NYC.

"But if we actually go out dancing, the DJ always puts on Footloose, and people form a circle around me, clapping in unison, expecting me to perform tricks like a trained seal. So I tend to avoid it," Kevin added.

The couple often gets asked about the secret to a lasting marriage. "That’s a question I refuse to answer anymore, but there are a few things you don’t want to do if you want a long marriage," Kevin said. "One is to leave the toilet seat up, and another is to say, 'I told you so.'"

Communication plays a key role in Kevin and Kyra’s marriage, as they approach their 29th anniversary. "We feel supportive of each other, as opposed to in competition with each other," Kevin told Closer.
