You could say Tracey E. Bregman, who plays strong-willed Lauren on The Young and the Restless, is a bit restless herself. She’s moved three times in just over a decade — without ever leaving her fabulous Malibu neighborhood.

“I used to live on the street below this one with my ex-husband, and when we split up, I bought the ranch across the street,” Tracey, 52, shares with Closer. “I was about to tear down the ranch and redo it as a French farmhouse when a [for sale] sign appeared on this house. Turns out my friend had the listing!”

Tracey moved in last November and couldn’t be happier. Not only does the stunning six-bedroom, eight-bath home boast stunning ocean views — “I have a thing about looking at the water,” says Tracey — it also suits the actress’ sense of style.

“Every house I’ve had, I completely gutted and started from scratch,” she says. “This is the first place I didn’t have to. I even liked all the tile, which is very unusual. In a way, I guess this house was built for me.”

Well, not just for her. Tracey shares her 6,400-square-foot “dream home” with sons Austin, 24, and Landon, 18, and their four dogs — Zoe, Hazel, Ella and Buddha. “Ella is a huge Anatolian shepherd and an amazing protector,” says Tracey. “She keeps the coyotes off the property.”

The home’s decor is “all me, love it or hate it,” says Tracey, who prefers clean lines and soothing earth tones. “When it comes to color I can go all the way up to a terra-cotta — and I do have some olive walls,” she says. “But I’m much more comfortable in the beige-gray-chocolate family.”
