Maksim Chmerkovskiy Shares a New Photo With Baby Son Shai — See the Cute Pic!

What a sweet snapshot!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram on Sunday, Feb. 26 to share an adorable photo of himself with his baby son, Shai — and we’re loving the moment between the father and his little boy!

"Practicing ventriloquism #BabyChmerkovskiy,” the Dancing With the Stars pro captioned the cuter than cute pic of little Shai looking just like his famous daddy.

Maks and his fiancée, Peta Murgatroyd, previously welcomed their first child together in early January 2017, and have been giving their social media followers a behind-the-scenes look at life with their newest bundle of joy ever since.

The new parents recently announced they would be returning for Season 24 of DWTS, however, Maks has regrets about leaving his two-month-old behind for all that time.

"This is the only difficult part about coming back on the show this time because it will just take time away from being with this dude, but like I said I just want to make her coming back and winning as difficult as possible," he joked of facing off against his soon-to-be wife.

The news came as a surprise to fans considering Maks previously confessed he had "zero interest" in coming back to the show once he became a dad. "First of all, like I've already said, I'm having the best time of my life on DWTS. It's a known fact. I've said it," he revealed in October 2016. "Having said that, I'm telling you right now I have zero interest in coming back as a dancer [next season].”

"I'm going to have a newborn baby. I have zero want to do this. I promise you that," Maks continued. "Trust me, I really don't care how this comes across, but there's no money on the planet that can replace me missing out the three, four, five months of my baby's life. Zero chance," he added. "I can't wait for all of this, diapers, and all of this stuff. I can't wait for Peta to pursue her goals and whatever and I just want to be a stay-at-home dad."

We just hope Shai makes an appearance in the ballroom this upcoming season of DWTS!
