Dancing with the Stars pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy, 37, and Peta Murgatroyd, 31, are planning to make their eight-month-old baby Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy a big brother soon! The adorable couple told In Touch that they’re already thinking about baby No. 2, and the bundle of joy could be coming sooner than you think!

Maks and Peta are busy, busy, busy with their baby Shai and competing on Season 25 of DWTS and they aren’t looking to slow down anytime soon! If anything, they’re ready to add more to their plate by having a second child. “Maybe next year [we’ll have another],” Peta revealed while talking to In Touch at Planet Hollywood in NYC on Sept. 6.
The new season of DWTS just kicked off, so Peta doesn’t want to rush into anything just yet. “I was pregnant [with our son Shai] when I won Season 22 with Nyle [DiMarco], and that was pretty tough, actually,” she said. We totally see why she wouldn’t want to be pregnant on the dance floor again! She took off Season 23 to have little Shai, and we’re willing to bet she would sit out during Season 26 in 2018 to do the same.
So how does daddy Maks feel about adding to their brood so soon? “I’m down for whatever,” he revealed. “Anything Peta wants, I’m down for it.” Now that’s what we look for in a man! Maks is really enjoying watching his son grow up, and he’d be more than happy to do it all over again. “First it was the smile and the giggle. Then it was the crawl,” he gushed. “Now Shai is climbing and standing by himself. It’s exciting to see all of this and experience it with him. I don’t want to blink.” Aww!
