Marie Osmond Reflects On Her Weight Loss Journey: ‘It Helped Me See The Beauty In Each Day’

Losing weight has been one of Marie Osmond‘s greatest achievements and she’s not afraid to talk about her positive experience! The 59-year-old singer recently opened up about her fitness journey via Instagram and shared how excited she was to hear that some of her fans have been losing weight due on Nutrisystem just like she did. Marie explained that when she recently visited QVC during a “whirlwind” work week in NYC, she was overjoyed to learn that her fans have been living healthier lifestyles.

“Even though I was exhausted when I got home, I was so thankful my body was able to keep up with the crazy hours and little sleep these past few days required. My #1 message was, in this order, health of body, mind, and soul. When people called into QVC to say they had lost 20, 40, 60, 100 pounds and more I was so happy to be able to share their excitement at getting healthier, because that is just what happened to me!” Marie began her social media post. “Twelve years ago, I made it my goal to take better care of my body so I could live longer and better serve my children; it helped me SEE more clearly the beauty in each day. It gave me a clearer desire and the energy to serve and spread this message of joy as much as I possibly can!”

Marie previously lost 50 pounds from just changing her diet with Nutrisystem. But in addition to losing weight, she also realized that developing healthy habits helped improve many aspects of her life. “I have learned that if our body is healthy, the physical well-being then [affects] our mind and its ability to function with more clarity of thought, even in the most stressful times,” she said. “We are better able to focus on finding the joy of living our lives even when stress and difficulties arise!”

Before Marie lost the weight, she remembered being “unhappy” with the way she looked. “I knew I was getting older but I didn’t want to feel older,” she shared, according to the Nutrisystem website. But after she started to take better care of herself, there was no one who could tell Marie that she didn’t look amazing. “I feel better, and I feel younger, too,” Marie exclaimed. “They say you can’t turn back time. Well, look at me and say that. Because I say you CAN!”
