Meg Ryan Reportedly Wants A ‘Small, Intimate Wedding’ With John Mellencamp

If John Mellencamp doesn’t do “Jack and Diane” with the names “John and Meg” instead then why even get married?

Meg Ryan, 57, recently confirmed that she’s engaged to the 67-year-old singer. So now that that is out of the way, Meg reportedly already has an idea of the type of wedding that she wants. A source has told In Touch that Meg doesn’t want anything too fancy. “She wants a small, intimate wedding, and John wants a big celebration,” the source reveals. “So they’ve compromised. It’s going to be on the smaller side but held at John’s sprawling lakefront ranch in Bloomington, IN.”

Some people are actually saying this wedding will be the most exciting thing to happen in Bloomington in 50 years. Alright, so I’m the only one who says that but it is probably accurate. Sorry Bloomington.

“They were meant to be together,” the source adds. “It wasn’t always easy, but now they’re committed to spending the rest of their lives together. The wedding is going to be magical. It’ll be a mixture of sophistication and down-home comfort, just like Meg and John.”

John is still ready to marry the Sleepless in Seattle actress even after reports revealed that she has quite the obsessions. A source said that Meg has “‘natural’ obsessions like juice shots and superfoods such as grain bowls, chia pudding, and even mushroom coffee.” The source adds: “John shakes his head because she never does anything without consulting her astrological chart. He thinks she’s crazy, but he loves her.”

This won’t be the first time that Meg will be walking down the aisle and saying ‘I do,” as the first time around Meg was married to actor Dennis Quaid from 1991 to 2001. And yes, Dennis is the actor you always confuse with actors Richard Gere and Pierce Brosnan.
