Mel Gibson Tired of Being Asked About His Anti-Semitic Rant

He probably would have preferred if Gary Oldman had just kept his mouth shut!

Mel Gibson's 2006 scandal, in which he was caught spewing anti-Semitic remarks after an arrest, was revived last month thanks to actor Gary who defended the 58-year-old's actions in an interview with Playboy.

But despite the renewed vigor, the Braveheart star insists he's moved on from the incident.

"It's behind me; it's an 8-year-old story. It keeps coming up like a rerun, but I've dealt with it and I've dealt with it responsibly and I've worked on myself for anything I am culpable for," the father-of-eight admits to The Hollywood Reporter.

He adds, "All the necessary mea culpas have been made copious times, so for this question to keep coming up, it's kind of like…I'm sorry they feel that way, but I've done what I need to do."

The Oscar winner initially defended Gary's tirade, calling The Dark Knight star "fantastic" and "a good dude." But it appears he's now trying his best to keep his past firmly in the past.
