Morning Joe’s Mika Brzezinski Gushes Over Husband Joe Scarborough in New Post: ‘I Like Him’
Ahead of Valentine’s Day, Mika Brzezinski showed her love for her husband, Joe Scarborough. The Morning Joe cohosts posed together in a new selfie with a sweet caption.
In the picture, which was posted on Mika’s Instagram account on February 8, Joe, 61, had a huge smile on his face as he stood next to his wife.
“I like him,” Mika, 57, wrote with a heart eyes emoji. “Happy Saturday #morningjoe.”
“You two are cool!!!!” one person commented, while the rest of the commenters shared red heart emojis.
Mika was bundled up in a black coat with a multicolor scarf around her neck while Joe wore a suit with a patterned tie.
The post came just a few weeks after the political commentator shared a photo with Joe while standing in front of a beautiful display of flowers in their garden. She also showed off a new plant in their house as she looked ahead to sunny skies.
“Happy SUNday. I am obsessed with my ponytail palm. Her name is Serratcha. Along with @joescarborough we are looking ahead to sunny skies and maybe more sleep! #love #sleep #flowers #ponytail palms,” Mika captioned the January 26 post on her Instagram account.
Joe does not post on Instagram very often, however, he did make a rare exception on January 19 when he snapped a photo of his wife during a stroll.
“Sunday in the Park With Mika @mikabrzezinski #sondheim #lapine #mandypatinkin #bernadettepeters,” he wrote with a sun emoji.
The pair got engaged in 2017 after speculation grew that they were taking their relationship to the next level.
“We have a crackling on-air chemistry, and a crackling off-air chemistry, too,” Joe told The Hollywood Reporter in April 2017.
The former politician also teased how their pets were getting along after blending their families.
“They get along great. They will always sort of spar with each other and …” he remarked before Mika said, “And he lets the cat get on the kitchen counter, which is just gross.”
“I do not,” he said in response.
They appeared together on The View that same year to talk about how they were able to find love with each other despite their opposing views on certain widely-debated topics on Morning Joe.
“You know, they say that absence makes the heart go fonder,” Joe said, before Mika responded, “We wouldn’t know what that feels like.”
“You know what’s so funny is I told Mika all along that, you know, my parents worked together. And I was like, ‘How do they do that?’” Joe continued. “But it works.”
Mika and Joe tied the knot in 2018 at the National Archive in Washington, D.C.
“What we do is really fun, though,” Mika said of working together on Morning Joe. “Our job doesn’t feel like work. It really is a fun conversation. We love everybody we work with. And in this business that’s really, I mean, you guys [on The View] do it, but it’s hard to accomplish.”
Mika said that having differing views from Joe certainly makes things “spicy” and that it also makes things quite interesting.
