Kym Johnson Jokes Husband Robert Herjavec Was Jealous of Her and Mr. T’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Partnership

It seems Mr. T is quite the stand-up guy!

Shortly after the Season 24 cast of Dancing With the Stars was announced earlier this year, the wrestler and his pro partner, Kym Johnson, opened up about their pairing — and joked they needed to be respectful to one another so Kym’s husband, Robert Herjavec, wouldn’t have to get involved!

“Robert’s like, ‘Oh, you’ve got Mr. T. I hope I don’t have to come and kick his a**,'” she said to Entertainment Tonight at the time.

“He had me shakin’, yes!” Mr. T replied. “‘Cause I thought he was gonna get the other guys from Shark Tank on me. You know, yeah, oh boy!”

“I told her, when I met her, I found out she was married, ‘Now, you tell your husband, I won’t hold you in a certain way. I’m gonna be respectful,'” he continued. “I’m an old-fashioned momma’s boy. I am. Can’t be vulgar. Very respectable… I’m a tough guy, but I’m a gentle guy.” So sweet!

Kym assured him he had nothing to worry about! “[Robert was] so excited,” she shared. “He’s [was] our No. 1 fan.”

The last time the 40-year-old pro starred on the program before competing with Mr. T she was paired with Robert! Kym and the Shark Tank star, 54, first met on DWTS as partners and later tied the knot in July 2016. They finished in seventh place on Season 20.

Interestingly, Kym previously told ET in August 2016 that she was done starring as a DWTS pro. “I love the show and I love to still be part of it, but you know, I still want to hang up my dance shoes and what a way to end,” she said at the time. “It’s like, ‘Thank you, Dancing With the Stars.'”

But she clearly went back on her word! The blonde beauty revealed the real reason why she returned to the popular dance competition in March. “When they told me [my partner] was Mr. T, I was like,’You know what? How can I resist that?'” she confessed. “I’m coming back, and I’m so glad I’m here.”

During the show’s 24th season, Kym and Mr. T were eliminated third from the competition. “Thank you. I said I couldn’t dance but I’d try. It was a great experience, I enjoyed myself. Thank you,” Mr. T said after the results were read. Here’s hoping the two are paired together again for a future all star season!
