‘DWTS’ Pro Peta Murgatroyd Makes Her Acting Debut in New Movie ‘Faith, Hope & Love’

The trailer for her feature film debut is out and Dancing With the Stars pro Peta Murgatroyd couldn't wait to share the news with her fans! The 31-year-old star took to Instagram on Thursday, June 7 to post the first clip for her new movie, Faith, Hope & Love, which is due to hit theaters this fall.

"For me, it's more than a trailer — it's a dream realized. I am so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait for you to see the movie! Let me know what you think!" Peta captioned the video. Watch the trailer below!

The upcoming romantic comedy focuses on the life of a recently divorced woman named Faith Turley (played by Peta) who's about to lose her dance studio. So, in order to raise money, Faith holds a dance contest and meets widower Jimmy Elpidas (portrayed by Robert Krantz). As Faith teaches Jimmy how to dance, the duo fall for each other and help one another find new perspectives on faith, hope, and love.

After Peta posted the first trailer online, her fans couldn't help but reveal their excitement about the movie. "This is amazing. I teared up watching someone I've become a fan of for so long make their acting debut. I cannot wait to see you shine throughout the whole movie in November," one person wrote on Twitter, with another adding, "Can't wait! Love seeing a movie that shows how dance can help overcome so many obstacles in life! Looks like a great acting debut!"

In the clip, fans also saw a glimpse of Peta's husband and fellow DWTS pro, Maks Chmerkovskiy, appearing in the movie. Though it's unclear what part Maks is exactly playing in the heartwarming film, it's great to see him support his wife of nearly one year. Peta and Maks, 38, tied the knot in July 2017 and have a one-year-old son named Shai together.

In a previous interview with Us Weekly, the couple revealed they're hoping to have another child soon. "I can't wait for more," Maks said and Peta joked, "He would have a baby every year if he could! That means I would be constantly fat. I think three is a good number." With Peta's new movie coming out soon, the couple will be busier than ever so they may want to get a head start on baby No. 2 ASAP!
