It may have taken about two months, but the world finally knows who was behind the bee and peacock costumes on The Masked Singer, and of course they’re two music icons: Donny Osmond and Gladys Knight.

While the famous face in the monster costume was declared the winner — and that person was T-Pain — it was the two legends in the bee and peacock disguises that really turned some heads. The bee, who was named the second runner-up, happened to be the “Midnight Train to Georgia” singer, 74. “We should always strive to do different kinds of things,” the hitmaker said of the experience. As for her identity being hidden, Gladys said, “It was kind of difficult for me because first of all you can’t see ‘nothin. The eyes are so important. You know, just seeing you guys here look at me, let me look at you. Let me look at you and you and you. That’s what gives me courage.”

Donny, 61, who was the first runner-up, had the best reason for agreeing to be on the Fox program. “Because it’s fun! I had the time of my life here. It’s the best thing of my life. He continued, “It’s better than being Donny Osmond!” And it has been fantastic to see Gladys and Donny continuing to be involved in music even after all these years. In fact, the “Empress of Soul” recently performed the National Anthem at this year’s Super Bowl in Atlanta. As for Marie Osmond‘s brother, he is actually working on yet another album — his 62nd.

“I’m excited to let you in on a little secret. I’ve officially started working on my 62nd album!” the performer wrote last month on Instagram. “I’ll keep you posted throughout the year as I continue creating it, but I have a feeling you’re going to love it.” We’re sure it will be great!
